What is Live Learning?

An opportunity to bring children into a professional media production environment where they continue their learning of key skills out of the classroom, and get real life experience of applying those skills in a team. It is the experience of learning how the stuff they watch on TV is really made!

Each project is delivered through a combination of studio visits, in-school creative sessions and class-based tasks designed to be led by class teachers. Pupils take on the production roles of producer, director, camera operator, designer, composer, actor etc. All of the key roles associated with the chosen type of production.

Projects are delivered over 1 – 5 days, depending on the needs and budget of your school or organisation. The main output is a piece of audiovisual material created by the pupils.

“We want to say a big thank you for all your hard work with our Year 2s. We had all parents at the school last week to see the premier of the video. Lots were in tears! The video we showed prior to the actual pop video, showed them all the work you, the children and teach- ers did to get the finished product.”
